The Big Read

Got a novel or short story that you need some feedback on? I’ll give it a close once-through read and get back to you with an assessment of strengths and weaknesses, as I see it. I’ll spotlight the story’s commercial potential, if it’s there, maybe even suggest where to submit it. Fee: $350 for an assessment on manuscripts up to 5000 words. $500 for up to 60,000 words, plus $250/hr for phone/Zoom conversation (longer manuscripts to be discussed).  

Writing Coach

Need ongoing guidance and support? I’ve got your back.  Discussions, notes, and developmental support via phone conversation, Google docs, or notes via email. Fee: $350 for an assessment (creating a working strategy proposal).  $250/hr per editorial session.

Developmental Editing

Want to take your manuscript to the next level? I’ll work with you on your writing, to help clarify the story you want to tell and make sure the story structure is effective. Your style is your own, of course, but let’s make sure it serves your intentions–my red-line notes on your manuscript will help guide you forward as you revise. The goal is a re-write that you’re happy with, and that can be submitted with confidence to agents or editors.  Fee: $350 for reading and delivering 1 page of notes on up to 5000 words. $500 for reading and delivering up to 3 pages of notes for  60,000 words, plus $250/hr phone/Zoom, or in-person critique (I’ll give you an estimate).
